How Kantise reads your Steam data

  1. Connection through the official API

You link your Steam account in seconds. Kantise reads playtime, not your messages, your purchases or your friends list.

  2. Playtime per title

Hours are broken down automatically by game and by day. Nothing to log by hand after a session.

  3. Placed next to your week

Those hours sit beside your sleep, energy and mood, so the real effect of long evenings becomes visible.

What your Steam hours help you understand

A total number of hours says very little. Put back into the context of a week, it becomes usable.

  • Which games actually stretch your evenings, and which fit in thirty minutes?
  • Do your late sessions cost you the next day?
  • Does gaming recharge you or drain you, depending on the type of session?
  • Do heavy weeks at work push your playtime up or down?
  • Which evenings overrun most often, and at what hour does it tip?

Steam connector FAQ

Can Kantise see what I buy on Steam?
No. The connector reads the playtime exposed by the official API. Your wallet, your messages and your friends list are not read.
Do I have to make my profile public?
Playtime has to be visible for the API to expose it. You can restrict the rest of your profile and switch back to private whenever you want.
Are non-Steam games counted?
Not automatically. A console or a third-party launcher is tracked with a manual tracker, which joins the same timeline as everything else.
Is this a tool to stop gaming?
No, it is a tool to see. Some people cut back, some reorganise their evenings, and some change nothing and simply play with a clearer head.
